A fabulous piece of practical fashion history! Rare, 1920's outdoor recreational ensemble, likely intended for camping and hiking. Square sailor collar style middy blouse and matching bloomer trousers. Middy blouse features a V neckline, scarf tie loop, button sleeve cuffs, button waist on either side, and a small pocket. The bloomer style trousers are very roomy and feature buttons on either side of the waist and adjustable button closure on the pant cuffs. Very durable, hardy khaki green canvas cotton. Typically, pieces of this era require a gentle touch when handling, but this ensemble has been constructed with the intention of longevity and durability. Gently worn, remarkably only a few signs of age. The slight imperfections add a patina and character to this rare gem. Great vintage condition for the age.
